Amy's Surrogacy Journey

I'd like to introduce to you all Amy Kinsella, a fighter, a survivor and the kindest soul.
Amy is 31 and as long as she remembers she has longed to be a Mammy and carry her own baby.
Last year in 2022, Amy was given the gut wrenching news that none of us wish to hear. She had cancer. Cervical cancer. Amy's immediate thought was not for her own health but became distraught at the thought of not being able to have any children.
She decided to put her chemo and radiation on hold and went through numerous appointments with consultants, doctors and fertility experts to discuss having her eggs frozen in the hope it would be successful and that she may, in fact, one day be able to have a baby.
Amy made the tough decision to hold off on treatment for cervical cancer and had her eggs frozen and thankfully there were viable eggs that could be frozen for future use.
After having gone through having her eggs removed Amy then had a long road of uncertainty ahead beginning her chemo and radiation.
At the end of the treatment cycle, we found out it was successful and the cancer was in remission. We were all so utterly relieved, but unfortunately, this was not the end of the tough road Amy was on.
Due to the chemo and radiation, Amy, at 31 years of age, is now suffering going through the menopause which in turn means she cannot carry her own baby. Another devastating blow for anyone who longs to be a Mam.
Amy is currently in talks with an agency in Europe for a surrogate to carry her baby for her. We had no idea at the extent of the cost this would be. There are legal fees, the fees for the surrogate, the surrogacy agency, travel, accommodation, baby passport and umpteen more costs that come with the process.
The cost is in excess of €80,000 and that is before she even buys a nappy.
All Amy wants is to be a Mam and she has dealt with all of it like a superhero. She's been an inspiration to us all.
We are hoping to reach out to anyone who would be willing to help us get Amy on the journey to have her very own little bundle of joy. We are aware the cost of living has risen and money is hard come by but every little helps.
The money donated will be going towards the cost of surrogacy and all the expenses that go along side it.
If you are in a position to help we would be forever grateful and your support means the world to both Amy and her longterm partner, David.
