Creating a home for Finlay my CP Warrior
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alexa, and I am fundraising for my son Finlay who is 18 years old.
On the 25th July, I will be attempting to complete the 3 Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon). Hopefully, we will raise the remaining money that we require to complete the housing adaptions.

Finlay is amazing, he has such a zest for life, all he wants is an accessible home that meets his needs.
How many of us take our home for granted?
Please help Finlay achieve his dream so he can be safe and independent at home.
Finlay is currently sleeping in our dining room; he doesn’t have any heating in this room.
Finlay’s cerebral palsy means his body becomes stiff without physical therapy.
In 2023, he had surgery to lengthen his abductor muscles in 2023 which was unpleasant for him.
Finlay should have access to his seating system and a standing frame. This equipment is essential for his physical well-being because we want to avoid further surgery as he grows.
We currently don’t have space for them.
To be independent at home Finlay requires:
• A bedroom that he can move around in.
• Open plan living space because he is both physically and visually impaired.
• A wet room that can be accessed independently.
• An adapted kitchen suitable for a wheelchair user.
• Ground floor internal doorways widened for easy access.
• Permanent ramped access to the rear of our home so he can go into the garden.
The only progress we have made with the adaptions have been through this go fund me. We are eternally grateful for this.
Amazingly @temporarybathroomsolutions gifted us a temporary bathroom (think posh festival loo) and this has made life much easier for Finlay but it is only temporary.
