Amazing Love and a Hope for Healing

Your financial help, along with prayer, is truly needed!! Please join me in supporting the most beautiful true love story, the real kind, that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. It all started at Elkins High School...
That's where these two darlings met, joyfully dated through college and grad school (@ separate schools I might add), and married after a precious proposal in Rome.
One year later...
There was a skiing accident, which led to a major brain injury. God was wrapped all around the circumstances that led to our sweet Clif's survival. After flirting with death almost daily for many months, Clif began to pull through. Giving up was never part of the equation for these two. They have been dedicated to "for better" from the onset. Fighting with faith became the center of every day's existence for them, and has remained so for the next ten years.
Surviving major brain injury is not for the weak of heart y'all! It involves daily medical treatments, occasional surgeries, continual therapies for speech and physical movement, cognitive exercises, daily massages to uncurl retracted muscles, sleepless nights, sadness, frustration, joyful celebrations, tiring financial burdens, pacing, worry, regrouping and refocusing, charging forward, dedication, moments of beauty, and an endless rotation of caregivers. Nothing but love could keep their drive going. Giving in or accepting complacency were never and option. Clif's continual, yet subtle imporvement has been the absolute.
NOW TEN YEARS LATER, SOMETHING AMAZING HAS HAPPENED....
On a wing and a prayer, sweet Paige (who is always fighting for her man) submitted a documented, detailed application for Clif's case to be considered as part of a world-wide stem cell study...AND THE AMAZING NEURAL MEDICAL TEAM OF UC, IRVINE IN CALIFORNIA CHOSE CLIF TO BE ONE OF 52 PARTICIPANTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD TO JOIN THE STUDY!! THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!!!! WE ARE OVER THE MOON WITH EXCITEMENT!!
SO, HERE'S WHERE YOU COME IN.....
The location for this regenerative stem cell research is California, which requires many trips.... are you following me? That's right...and many of the flights are last minute, which equals top price. Hotels are pricey, and stays can last up to two weeks. Quite a bit of work is missed as Paige shepards these travels. While the study does cover some of these costs, it will not come close to covering the needed amount. Members of the family must travel with Paige and Clif to help transport wheelchairs and equipment, as well as face together the many challenges that travel will pose for a darling man with a major brain injury. Caretakers will be needed in California, meals... and the list goes on and on. During their recent visit to Cali for the qualifying rounds, plane tickets ran upwards of $1000 each traveler for a round trip. The study requires approximately 5 different times to fly throughtout the upcoming 12 months with approximately a one-two week stay each time.
THESE REAL LIFE HEROES NEED YOUR HELP AND YOUR PRAYERS!!! Please cheer them on and lend a hand. One sweet young girl who loves one handsome young man and will never give up...... JOIN HER.
These two kids and their daily walk of faith have been an example for us all through the years.
A QUOTE FROM PAIGE: "UC's selection of Clif is nothing short of a miracle. Keeping in mind that this is a study, I'm praying his success will light a beacon of hope for the countless others who share the brain injury fight daily. I'm so in awe of Clif's warrior spirit and overwhelmed with hope for a David and Goliath victory here."
IT REALLY WORKS Y'ALL ... click to see the real story here!
$10,000 is a seriously lofty goal for GoFundMe, but I know it won't begin to cover the true costs they will face in the immediate future. PLEASE PLEASE spread this to everyone you know. These two precious kids need a break and a miracle-
Signed with love and a full heart, as well as a plea to Jesus-
The adoring older sister
Amen
