A Sanctuary for Animals- Kazakhstan

Donation protected
My name is Ava Dallman, I am a 13 year old girl from Canada and the USA and I have been rescuing animals with my Mom in Kazakhstan since I was four years old. We  live in Kazakhstan for my Dad's job as a hockey player. We are able to go back to our home in Canada every year, and 2-3 times a year we fly unwanted Kazakh animals into North America to their waiting Forever Families.

Over the past nine years, my Mom and I have been able to rescue and find homes for over 125 stray, abused, and unwanted animals by flying them to Canada and the USA and adopting them out to our friends and families on a regular basis.  I hope that people who have adopted their animals from us will help spread the word and help me raise the money to build "The Ark of Astana" animal Sanctuary for Syuzanna, who has a small, personally funded animal shelter outside of the city and has dedicated her life and life savings to helping animals in need . She needs a larger building to house her animals and to provide them with the best quality of life, as most of them will never be adopted.

Animal rescue work is hard. A few years ago, we flew three Canadian voulenteers all the way to Kazakhstan, paid for their travel, visas and accomodation, only to have the puppies refused entrence into Canada.  I guess Canada didn't know that the puppies were rescued from a consruction site at our apartment complex and the manager of the site was going to throw the puppies into the freezing river to drown them.

The Girls couldn't convince Canada to allow the puppies into the country, but they did allow the mom dog and three cats into the country. I was so sad that after a 24 hour flight from Kazakhstan-Germany-Canada, the seven puppies were sent straight back to Kazakhstan. Imagine all of the time that they had to spend in their crates?  My mom called the airport in Frankfurt, Germany, and the people in Germany were very nice. They allowed the puppies to stay in their Animal Lounge for 48 hours (for free), and then my Mom and I took the next flight from Kazakhstan to Germany to New York City and hired a pet transport company to drive these puppies to their families waiting  in Canada.

That is only one case out of so many heartbreaking and complicated situations we have gone through in trying to get animals out of the country and to their Forever Families in the USA and Canada.

This is Oreo, just one of our many rescues who now happily lives in North America as a household pet, rather than the abused guard dog she would have been otherwise. She has her Forever Family, and they are so happy to have her in their life! My Mom says that animals always make the lives of humans better... just as as humans all have the ability to make the lives of animals better. We all need eachother.  I agree.

My Dad will be retiring from his hockey career in Kazakhstan within the next few years, and I can't imagine leaving here without knowing that there is a safe animal sanctuary in place. It is my goal that we can raise $50,000 to purchase a property and help co-create a sanctuary for all of the animals that will remain here once we are gone.

Please help me acheive my dream to leave Kazakhstan with a healthy animal sanctuary for the abused, thrown out, unwated and unloved animals, because right now the only animal humane shelter in this city needs our help in purchacing a building that the animals can live with a good quality of life even if no one adopts them.

Imagine:

-50 people donate $1000 = $50,000 Sanctuary Funded

-250 people donate $200 = $50,000 Sanctuary Funded

-1000 people donate $50 = $50,000 Sanctuary Funded

I hope that all people who are compassionate about animals will consider any donation amount. I don't want anything for Christmas or my Birthday, I only want to help Syuzanna build her Ark of Astana, to continue providing food, warmth, love and shelter to the animals in this city.

If you have adopted your Kazakh Forever Cat or Dog from us, please consider donating and spreading the word through social media. It would mean so much to me if you can help in any way possible.

Anyone can donate any amount of money from any country! Thank you for reading my story and in your consideration to help the helpless animals in Kazakhstan.
