Hi my name is Loree I am the founder and project lead at Kenton Foodbank.

Since 2018 we have collected food donations from in and around Newcastle city.

The introduction of Newcastle-Gateshead Clean Air Zones now means we can only continue to collect donated food if we change our Foodbank vehicle from a diesel van to an electric van. Currently we serve over 640 families per month for us to continue our service an electric van is the only way we can continue to collect in and around the city centre. Newcastle City Council have offered us a grant of £4500 towards the cost of an electric van please if you can donate to help our service this will go along way to continue our services.
