An Evening for Reproductive Justice
Tax deductible
This event is a live fundraiser concert featuring performances from medical students and a local Atlanta star: Ruby Velle. We are very excited about this event and thank you for donating.
Free entry: GoFundMe and FWHC donors (bring a receipt or screenshot to the door)
The benefits concert is occurring on:
Sunday, Nov 10th from 6-10PM
at 378 Art Gallery in Candler Park: 378 Clifton Rd. Atlanta, Georgia
This fundraiser is for the benefit of the Feminist Women's health center (FWHC), which provides comprehensive OBGYN and reproductive healthcare to all persons with a uterus within the Greater Atlanta area, regardless of health insurance status.
The fundraising goal is currently 10k.
We are organizing this fundraiser because of house bill 481 that passed last March through the Georgia legislature. HB 481, known also as the heartbeat bill, is a piece of legislation that targets a specific patient population, the same one that the FWHC aims to treat. This bill should be seen as a direct attack on the reproductive justice that all people in the state of Georgia deserve. As future medical professionals, we believed it was crucial that the Emory School of Medicine present a stance against this bill to promote equality and greater access to reproductive services.
