An Inspired bike ride for Justin
Donation protected
An important update from 27th February 2024. My friend lost his battle with cancer and this has now made the ride even more important!
I was looking to raise money to help with Justin's treatment but now want to use this to help his family as well as supporting www.prostaid.co.uk and therefore need you to continue to pledge for his legacy!
We can do so much 'for Justin'
In April 2024 I, along with other Inspired colleagues, associates and friends will embark on a 600 mile bike ride with over 28,200 ft of climbing to all our Inspired Villages communities, starting in Exeter and finish in Cheshire, via Kent!
I am doing this to raise funds for life enhancing treatment for a close friend who is battling terminal Prostrate Cancer. Justin Butlin was diagnosed in September 2022 with stage 4 Metastatic hormone sensitive Prostrate Cancer, aged 52! There is no stage 5!!
I want this ride to be life enhancing for Justin, life affirming for me and the other riders and very importantly life saving by raising awareness of Prostrate Cancer. This funding page is set up for you to help support this important cause with a target of £20,000 that I am sure you or your companies can help me get to this goal.
Justin is an exceptionally positive person and an inspiration to me and others who know and meet him. ‘The reality is that 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. If you’re over 50, or you’re black, or your dad or brother had it, you’re at even higher risk. Prostate cancer is not always life-threatening. But when it is, the earlier you catch it the more likely it is to be cured.’ – Prostrate Cancer UK website. Justin is getting support from a local Leicestershire & Rutland cancer charity www.prostaid.co.uk to help raise awareness.
I sincerely hope you can support me and Inspired Villages on this ride and that by raising awareness of this awful disease maybe you or someone you know life can be saved.
Over the coming weeks and months, I will post updates and hold events to hit the target and welcome any support in this challenge.
