* An Important Message: Since Palestine is not listed among the supported countries on GoFundMe, the donations from my fundraising campaign will be transferred to my friend “David McDivitt” bank account in Canada. Once he receives the funds, he will immediately transfer them to my bank account.
Dear Friends and Kind-Hearted Supporters Worldwide,
My name is Randa, a mother and wife from the Gaza Strip, and I’m reaching out in our family’s darkest hour. For the past 11 months, my family has been trapped in the heart of a devastating war zone that has transformed our lives into a relentless nightmare. Each day, we struggle to survive amid violence, fear, and hunger. This plea is a desperate cry for help to save us, especially our 18-month-old baby girl, from the horrors of this ongoing conflict. Your support could be the crucial lifeline that brings us hope and safety.
Our Story
Before the war, our family was full of love and joy. We watched our baby girl take her first steps and speak her first words, moments that should have been full of happiness. But now, those precious memories are overshadowed by a constant state of despair. Since the war began, we have been displaced 11 times, each move deepening our suffering. Our home, once filled with laughter, is now destroyed, reduced to rubble by the relentless bombings. We face severe shortages of food, clean water, cooking gas, and medical supplies.
The lack of clean water, food, and medical supplies has left us malnourished and desperate. We’re dealing with severe skin diseases caused by unsanitary conditions, and we struggle to provide basic necessities like milk, clothing, and diapers for our baby girl.
Every night, my husband Ramez and I hold our daughter close as the sounds of explosions shake the air. We whisper to her that everything will be okay, even when we ourselves are unsure. All we want is for her to have a chance to grow up in safety, where her days are filled with joy, not fear, where her biggest concerns are about playing, not surviving.
The funds will be a lifeline for us, helping to cover the urgent and overwhelming evacuation costs, which are currently between $5,000 - $7,000 per person. This will allow us to reach safety and find temporary refuge in Egypt. Once there, the remaining funds will be used to provide us with temporary housing, transportations, basic necessities—food, water, clothing, medical care— and legal assistance, as we try to rebuild some sense of normalcy.
My family has been displaced several times, each time losing more of what little we had left. Now, we find ourselves with almost no belongings, struggling to survive. These funds will not only help us escape immediate danger but also give us the chance to begin healing and rebuilding our lives, even though the road ahead is long and uncertain.
- The average cost of travel to Egypt is $5,000 per person. For more details on why these fees are so high, please refer to the following sources:
Why Evacuation Is Critical for Us
1. A Chance for Health and Safety: Evacuating will allow us to access clean water, proper nutrition, and crucial medical care, including vaccinations for our baby girl—basic needs we currently cannot meet in Gaza.
2. A Fresh Start: Escaping Gaza will give our family the opportunity to live in a safe environment, free from the constant violence and trauma that has dominated our lives.
3. Mental and Emotional Healing: Being in a safe place will allow us to recover from the psychological scars of war and start rebuilding our lives with hope and stability.
4. Access to Education and Opportunities: In a safer environment, our daughter will be able to access education and experience a normal childhood, helping her grow and thrive.

Our Urgent Need
Our situation is critical. Every day begins with the terrifying sounds of war, and our future is uncertain with no means of escape. The cost of evacuation is far beyond our reach, as we have lost our home, jobs, and any source of income. This is why we are urgently turning to you for help.
I know we may be strangers, but I ask you to imagine the anguish of having your loved ones trapped in a constant cycle of danger and deprivation for nearly a year. My family is no different from yours—we share the same hopes, dreams, and fears. Your kindness will not only save lives but also show that humanity can come together in times of crisis.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering our plea. Your support means more than words can express, and we will be eternally grateful.
