Help Blaze Beat Cancer

Hi,

My name is Blaze, I am 8 years young and on May 31st I was diagnosed with a really aggressive form of cancer in my jaw called amelanotic melanoma. Due to the nature of the type of cancer and the obscure area on which it grew, my humans were not able to notice anything wrong until I began to randomly bleed from my mouth. At first, they thought it was just me being a silly goose and playing too hard with one of my toys. Because my cancer is so aggressive, it quickly metastasized to one of my lymph nodes. Thankfully, a CT scan showed it had not spread past my right submandibular lymph node. I am excited to keep fighting for a chance to spend more time with my humans.

No one really prepares you for the time you have to hear those words " it's cancer", and no one prepares you for the financial strain vet medical bills can cause. I am just trying to do what every good dog dad would do: anything in their power to keep them around for just a little longer. Blaze has had 2 major surgeries, one to remove the oral mass and the other for the removal of the lymph node. Blaze is still in need of the radiation therapy that follows the two surgeries. I refuse to let him go so soon...
