Ana Marchon: Crucial Treatment for Hope + Life

Our mom Ana was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, and has since started a gruelling and draining battle for her life. After a mastectomy procedure, and two rounds of chemotherapy we learned that the tumour had spread to her liver, requiring additional treatment. Despite the concerning news, she remained optimistic and upbeat, and continued for the next two years an exhausting routine of exams, tests, and chemotherapy. 

Two years of gruelling chemo sessions have significantly debilitated our mom’s health and wellbeing; weakening her body, draining her energy, and robbing her of any quality of life. At Christmas we learned that the tumour has recently increased considerably and added new layers of suffering with constant and strong pain. Our mum is now taking daily doses of morphine, which does little for the pain but increases the toxins in her body. 

Ana is an inspiration not only to us, but to each person who has crossed her way. She is an incredibly compassionate woman, and throughout her life has been focused on caring for those in need, be it paying for the education of children in the community that couldn’t afford schooling, or volunteering for various community causes including building fair-trade and sustainable agriculture practices. She is the reason why we are philanthropists at heart and both work in jobs that strive to help people. 

It has been incredibly difficult to us watch her journey from a distance, so we wanted to fight with her and bring back her joy for life. We have contacted a clinic in Mexico that specializes in a cancer treatment (Gerson therapy) that is considerably less aggressive than traditional treatment, and has saved the lives of hundreds of people around the world. Despite the severity of her disease the doctors believe she will benefit immensely from this treatment, and improve the quality if not save her life.

We appreciate your assistance in anyway you can to make this difficult time easier for our family. Your donation will assist offsetting the many expenses associated with the treatment; including the two weeks of treatment in Mexico this February, post-therapy treatment back in Brazil, and the travel expense for Ana and the family member that must accompany her.

Our mom would never ask anyone for anything; however, she deserves help in her time of need. We are so grateful to have such love and support around us.
