Donate in Memory of Anabela Marques

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the recent passing of our mom Anabela Marques after her long and courageous battle with cancer.

Ana was an amazing wife to Fernando Marques of 45 years and a loving mom to Susana, Kevin and Diana. She is also survived by her parents Miguel and Fatima. Ana had many grandchildren who looked up to her including Joanna, Nicole and Natalie and was lucky enough to have beautiful great grandchildren, Ava and Matteo.

Ana was diagnosed almost 2 years ago with stage 4 colorectal cancer. After months of chemotherapy and hospitals admissions, she fought harder than ever. Her incredible strength and courage kept her fighting for this long but sadly her fight has come to an end. Ana passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Hospital on Saturday July 6th 2024 surrounded by her family.

Ana was the most kind, caring, thoughtful and compassionate woman. She always went out of her way to help others, putting everyone else before herself. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her smile lit up the world and her laugh was contagious to everyone who was lucky enough to know her and be loved by her.

When Ana and Fernando moved from Portugal many years ago, they began their own business, which was extremely succesful. Since her diagnosis, he has had to work long hours and sleepless nights for the both of them. With the most recent events and hospitalizations, depsite the overwhelming help and support from family and friends, it has been a difficult time. This gofundme is to set up to support funeral arrangments and to lend a helping hand to grieve the loss of our loved one.

Rest in paradise our beautiful mom, wife, daughter and avo. You will forever be in our hearts.
