Anastasia Hall out of work to heal -2nd Surgery
Donation protected
In May I had a surgery that damaged my colon, failed to deal with a large uterine fibroid and rocked my world to it's core. The road home involves 2 more surgeries. The October surgery will remove the fibroid and excise all endometriosis from my abdominal cavity. (The Spring surgery will return my intestine to the inside of my body. ) Prior gofundme has the rest of the story.
I have been back to work full time in my Acupuncture practice for a little more than 8 weeks. It has been wonderful! I love my work and my clients! And now I prepare to leave for another 6-8 weeks. This means 2 months expenses which we in no way are prepared for after the disastrous surgery in May- which we wouldn't have survived financially without all the support we received through our previous gofundme. Eight weeks hasn't been enough to catch up on all the bills.
We are now working with Dr. MacKenzie, who did my wife, Tiffany's endometriosis excision surgery nearly 3 years ago- leading directly to Narah! It might be funny, under different circumstances, to discover that Tiffany and I both have Stage 4 (the worst) Endometriosis. And oh lordy this is a poorly treated disease in the majority of cases. Endometriosis effects 1 in 10 women. I honestly hadn't even considered that this may be going on. I have always felt my issues were muscular in origin as that is where I felt pain. After this surgery they will map out for me where they removed all the tissue. I anticipate this will correspond to the areas where I feel chronic pain.
Our daughter, Narah, just celebrated her first birthday. We are having so much fun with her as she learns at an alarming rate. Honestly, we would rather manage this surgery and enjoy life with Narah and each other with a few less financial worries. Funds will go to housing expenses and keeping the credit cards from catching fire.
