Anchorage Makerspace Laser Cutter CO2 Tube
We are raising funds to replace the 90W CO2 tube from our laser cutter at the Anchorage Makerspace.
Our laser cutter is a beast 90W+ FSL 48x36 inch and is our pride and joy! Its the first BIG tool we got a few years after we started the makerspace in 2013 and we make it available to the community for projects.
We've put a lot of miles on it... built hundreds, maybe thousands of awesome things on it before the tube called it quits. Its finally time to give it some a new tube, some upgrades and some love!
We are trying to raise $2,000, roughly for:
$900 90W CO2 Laser Tube
$200 CO2 Tube Power Supply
$500 Controller Board
$400 Exhaust Fan and Ducting Upgrades
Rewards:
If we meet our goal, we'll host a Laser Cutter workshop for everyone who supported our campaign and make sure you go home with something awesomely laser cut, of your choosing!
Stretch Goals?
If we raise more, we'll use the funds to get a backup CO2 tube, or get some other cool toy/tool for the shop, e.g. vinyl cutter, CNC embroidery machine, new woodworking tools -- let us know what you might want us to get in the comments below!
Here's some cool things we've made on the machine:
Thank you for your support everyone!
