And then there were 5

Hi, my name is Julie and I am Nana to 5 precious grands now aged 17, 13, 12, 10 & 15 months old.

My beautiful 35 year old daughter delivered her 5th precious love yesterday 9/6/2023. She suffered an amniotic fluid embolism which is rare and usually fatal. Her team of doctors went above & beyond to save her. After 2 hours they called her gone. The pain of losing my child is indescribable. There are no words.

Her unresponsive baby girl J had trauma of her own and was sent to a nearby hospital for specialized help in order to hopefully prevent brain damage. I am happy to say baby girl J is beginning to thrive. The long-term effects will not be known for a while though. The financial help I am asking for will be for my 5 grandchildren now without the stable rock in their family; my daughter. My 10 year old grandson is diagnosed non-verbal Autistic & has many needs of his own. The current & future needs for all will include items such as groceries, clothes, diapers, school needs and more. If you would help me to help them, I'd be most appreciative.

These children are my priority. Baby J will learn about her mother. But, my heart is broken for all of them. Thank you very much.

It has been 15 months since the loss of my precious daughter, Kelli. We have all been adjusting to our new "normal" without her. We all continue to miss her so much! Baby J has been growing and doing well despite the trauma she endured at birth. The others are doing the best they can and strive to do do well in school as they know their mother stressed the importance of learning.

The money given this far helped tremendously to get through this past year. Thank you for your generosity!

Their emotional needs will always be a priority. And, their physical needs are still needed as they have all grown. I want to also start a trust fund for each of them to help with education after high school. Some funds would help tremendously with current needs of diapers, clothes, etc. But also, helping to pay for their future education would be appreciated greatly.

Becoming a primary caretaker was not an expectation I would have ever dreamt of doing. Life has turned out differently than I could have possibly known.

If my Kelli could see what has been done for her children, I can only feel she would be as overwhelmed with the generosity of fellow Americans as I have been. You have brought hope into an otherwise sometimes bleak world. Truly, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
