Aloha family and friends! We, the family of Narife Gines Andaya, humbly ask you all for your help at this time.
On Sunday 11/17/19, my mom was on her way to the emergency room, due to severe headaches. As she entered the hospital, she started vomiting and collapsed and that’s the last she ever was conscious. When they did a scan they found out that she had a brain aneurysm and was in a deep coma. On that same day, my mom along with my dad got emergency air lifted to Oahu at the Kaiser Moanalua Hospital. That night, they put a catheter in my mom's head to drain out all the blood to relieve the pressure in her brain, hoping there would be an improvement the next day. When the next day came, unfortunately there was no improvement, which led to having to do surgery on my mom to take the aneurysm out.
After the surgery, we were hoping she could respond to the testing that doctors are doing on her, but unfortunately she has suffered severe brain damage from all the pressure in her brain. My mom is still in a deep coma and is on a ventilator to help her breathe.
My dad is a sole bread winner and provider for our family, but at this time he needs to stay by my mom's side. It’s been hard for our family mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially .
My siblings and I are asking our family and friends for donation to help us since we are away from home and being on a different island has been difficult on us - any amount is not too small. Also prayers would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us in this difficult time. As of right now we can only pray for a miracle.
Sincerely,
Gines Andaya Ohana
