Anders Kristiansen I&II Golf Career

Hello. My name is Anders Kristiansen. I´m a twenty-seven-year-old professional golfer from Norway. I have spent my whole life in the pursuit of my greatest dream and goal of being ranked inside the top 10 in the World Golf Rankings. I was very successful as a junior and amateur golfer in Europe and other parts of the world. In late 2008 I was ranked 4th in the R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking and made it through to the Final Stage of European Tour Qualifying School. I have been fortunate to have experienced many successes and setbacks in my career. In 2010, after turning professional, I had a serious back injury which lasted for almost two seasons. Due to lower back spasms, I started to practice golf full time left handed. With knowledge and a dedicated work ethic, I shot under par for 18 holes after ten months. After two years I played in my first ever tournament left handed in the 2016 Long Beach Open with the scores of 77-72. I have experienced many challenges including multiple injuries that have tested my confidence, but I look at these hurdles in an athletes career as incredibly valuable experience. To prove myself I would like to be the first ever professional golfer to play a European Tour event both left and right handed in the same event. My goal is clearly to become the best golfer I can be as right handed, but it's is important to me to prove that with a positive attitude, patience, passion, dedication and work ethic, anything in life is possible.
As of today, August 2017 I play full-time right handed in tournaments and will continue to do so in the future, but I continue practicing left handed to fulfill my goals. The goal this year is to qualify for the European Tour & Asian Tour through the qualifying school at the end of the year. I am prepared for the pressure of performing at the highest level.
With the GoFundMe campaign, I would like to raise NOK 500.000 to cover expenses for a full tournament schedule for the next two seasons. I already know how to be economical traveling, practicing, and which tournaments offer the best possible return on investment of time and money. With your support, I can focus on practicing the number of hours and repetitions a professional athlete is required to in order to be successful on the world stage.
