Anderson Family Home lost to wildfire
Donation protected
Yesterday evening, my sister, Reshanna, and her family had to evacuate their home in Elk, Washington on extremely short notice due to a rapidly spreading wildfire. They were only able to grab a few quick things and their dogs (unfortunately, they couldn’t get their cats) and go. They could hear the flames approaching through the forest as they left.
Thankfully, everyone made it to safety, including Reshanna and her husband, Steve; Steve’s mom, Judy, who lived in a tiny home on their property; Reshanna and Steve’s grandson, Zander, who lives with them a good chunk of the time; and my late brother’s daughter, Mollie, who also lives with them (Mollie was visiting family when the fire hit so wasn’t present during the evacuation and is experiencing this loss less than a year after losing her dad).
They were able to stay with a friend last night and received word this morning that their home, garage, and her mother-in-law’s tiny home were all gone. When they were able to go see for themselves, the devastation was unimaginable. They have poured their heart and soul into this dream property and home, and now it’s gone.
We’re trying to help raise money for them to get them through the initial part of this emergency. I know we can’t replace so much of what they lost, but we can help get them food, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, etc as they navigate this tragedy.
Your donations will mean the world to them. And please keep them in your prayers during this time of heartbreak and loss.
