Andre Lewis and the impact he had on us all

Donation protected
Hello everyone. My name is Cody Banks and I'm trying to raise a little bit of money for my sister and her kids. My sister, Jessica, was engaged to Andre and had imagined a life together for them and their kids. Unfortunately, their dreams of a future together were cut short when Andre suffered a seizure during the early hours of December 16th. Due to the seizure-related injuries, Andre would not recover. Andre passed away on December 28th surrounded by his loved ones while in Hospice Care at his home. This was not the Christmas Break that any child should ever deal with.

Andre was a son, fiance, father, and the closest person to a brother that I could have ever asked for. Whenever Andre would enter a room, everyone would instantly know. Andre was always laughing, smiling and cracking jokes. When Andre entered our lives twelve years ago, we had no idea how lucky we were to have him. Andre gave us more than words could describe.

Andre worked various jobs doing whatever it took to provide for three kids and the love of his life. Andre ultimately wound up finding a career working for the United States Postal Service. He had many stories to tell and was loved by his customers and work colleagues. He would work long hours and still make time for his family. Andre helped his son with Cub Scouts and his daughter with Girl Scouts during his free time, which was usually limited due to his long work hours.

When Andre had time off, you would find him wrapped around Jessica's fingers laughing and enjoying her company. Jessica and Andre made everyone laugh and watching them two together were heartwarming. Andre discovered barbecuing and smoking meats which became a hobby for him.

Andre often spoke of his mother, Virginia, and loved to relive the glory days of playing quarterback during high school football. You could often hear Andre telling stories about running routes in football and then instantly cracking jokes on us all. When we cracked jokes back, you would hear Andre laugh and then tell everyone he was going to call his mom.

Right now, my sister is dealing with some financial hardships due to Andre being the sole provider for the household. Andre worked as hard as he could and always made sure that Jessica and the kids were provided for. The road ahead for Jessica and the kids will already be hard enough without Andre so I'm hoping to raise a few dollars to help with finances. Any money donated would be appreciated.
