Andre "Wild Thing" Payette memorial fund
Donation protected
This week the hockey world mourns the death of our friend Andre Payette.
Pysie died aged 46 in western Canada.
The out pouring of love from the hockey community has been amazing, all sharing stories and tales of their time with the man that touched so many lives.
Andre was part of the UK hockey scene for well over a decade becoming one of the longest ever serving imports to play and coach in the UK. A man loved by his team mates and hated by the opposition on the ice but also a man with a huge heart who made friends where ever he went. The message and comment's online price as much.
Whilst in the UK he laced them up for:
Newcastle Vipers
Coventry Blaze
Sheffield Steeldogs
Manchester Phoenix
Whitley Bay Warriors
Whilst hockey was a love and passion for him, his number one pride and joy was his Son Oliver. He loved him so much and worshipped the ground he walks on.
Ollie is the reason we are setting up this GoFundMe. As you can imagine he is deeply saddened hurt and distraught losing his dad at only 10 years old.
We are raising money in order for Ollie and his mum Jemma to be able to fly to Ottawa Canada to be with his family and pay his respects to his dad. Any money left over will be kept for Ollie turning 18.
Please give what you can. We know how generous the UK hockey scene can be when one of our own needs us.
RIP Andre my brother.
