Ciao a tutti,

Il mio nome è Andrea Troise, sono un Ingegnere, ho 25 anni e una grande passione per l’aerospazio e le problematiche tecniche, ecologiche ed economiche ad esso connesse.

Mi sono laureato in Ingegneria Meccanica al Politecnico di Bari (triennale) e ho conseguito poi la laurea magistrale con lode in Ingegneria Meccatronica al Politecnico di Torino.

Rientrato nella mia città natale, Bari, ho vinto il dottorato di ricerca al Politecnico di Bari.

Ho fatto numerose esperienze all’estero, fra cui la tesi magistrale ad Atene (Grecia) grazie ad un bando Erasmus. Nell’ambito del mio dottorato mi occupo di una ricerca scientifica diretta a studiare il comportamento di pannelli solari dispiegabili nello spazio (pensate agli “origami” giapponesi).

La raccolta fondi che ho proposto su questa pagina è stata completata, l'8 Giugno potrò prendere parte allo Space Studies Program (clicca per aprire link) della International Space University (altro link) al Johnson Space Center della NASA, a Houston, Texas.

Le parole non bastano per ringraziare tutti coloro che hanno riposto la loro fiducia in me. Ho avuto tantissimi messaggi di supporto e di incoraggiamento in questi giorni, che hanno di gran lunga superato i messaggi negativi.

E' bello vedere come nella nostra comunità ci sia così tanto spazio e attenzione per i giovani, soprattutto per coloro i quali non hanno intenzione di rinunciare ai propri sogni.

Sono eternamente grato per il supporto che sto ricevendo. La mia storia è la riprova che quando non si rimane indifferenti di fronte a ciò che succede attorno a noi, si può fare la differenza nella vita, sia la nostra che quella degli altri.

Ho sempre creduto al fare del bene senza aspettarsi nulla in cambio, chiaramente tantissime altre persone credono a questa filosofia di vita tanto quanto me.

Questa pagina diventerà un portale in cui, per trasparenza, caricherò la prova delle mie spese per la partecipazione al programma a Houston e pubblicherò aggiornamenti su questa mia esperienza.

Hello everyone,

My name is Andrea Troise, I am an Engineer, 25 years old with a great passion for aerospace and the technical, ecological and economic issues related to it.

I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari (three-year degree) and then graduated with honors in Mechatronics Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin.

Upon returning to my hometown of Bari, I won a Ph.D. from the Politecnico di Bari.

I had numerous experiences abroad, including my master's thesis in Athens (Greece) thanks to an Erasmus call. As part of my Ph.D. I am involved in scientific research directed at studying the behavior of deployable solar panels in space (think Japanese "origami").

The fundraiser I proposed on this page has been completed, on June 8 I will be able to take part in International Space University 's Space Studies Program at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Words are not enough to thank all those who have placed their trust in me. I have had so many messages of support and encouragement these days, which far outweighed the negative messages.

It is great to see how there is so much room and attention in our community for young people, especially those who are not going to give up on their dreams.

I am eternally grateful for the support I am receiving. My story is proof that when we do not remain indifferent to what is happening around us, we can make a difference in life, both our own and that of others.

I have always believed in doing good without expecting anything in return, clearly so many other people believe in this philosophy of life as much as I do.

This page will become a portal where, for the sake of transparency, I will upload proof of my expenses for attending the program in Houston and post updates on this experience of mine.
