Hi, my name is Brittney and I am fundraising for my sister Andrea Jordan and her family.
On the morning of March 21, 2024 my brother- in-law discovered his wife (Andrea) unresponsive. He tried many times to wake her up but she did not budge. He stated that she was making a loud gargling sound and immediately called 911. Once first responders arrived they began CPR and rushed her to the hospital. While in the ambulance she suffered from 3 seizures and in between time she had a stroke. We were told that Drea had severe swelling of the brain and would need surgery as soon as possible or she could possibly go brain dead. She had brain surgery that evening and had tubes placed in her head and the back bottom half of her skull removed to reduce the swelling and allow the fluids to drain. The doctor told us that there was a 25% chance of survival but we as a family kept the faith and is praying that she make it through this.
Drea, is a fighter and she has been fighting every since the day she came into the hospital Due to major tongue swelling Drea had to have a Tracheostomy placed in her throat, and a feeding tube placed in her stomach. The doctors decided to remove the tubes from her brain and it swelled again. She has had several surgeries and procedures (CT's, MRIs etc.) and things were looking pretty good for her. She was alert and could now move her fingers, arms, open her eyes, and mumble words. On Tuesday April 16th Drea was removed from the ICU and her husband (Tavarus) stated that she was doing well and was more stable. On Thursday April 18th I recieved a call from Tavarus (brother-in-law) that Drea needed to have another brain surgery and that she had swelling of the brain. Unfortunately surgery did not go so well this time. We were told that her brain is swollen and they cannot get the tubes to release the fluids on the brain (it isn't working),blood is not flowing, she had a infection, CT was showing hardly any brain activity (she has had 4 done in one day along with chest and abdomen x-rays). At this point we're leaning on faith in Yahuah (God). We don't know what to expect.
At this time we are in need of many righteous prayers . Our family is devastated and is praying that she pulls through. Drea is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, TT (Auntie), and friend. Drea has a heart of gold and she meets no strangers. She befriends anyone and is always willing to help anyone. Through out the years she has helped so many by providing food and shelter, creating dance teams for little girls in her community, and is a well known hair braider/stylist. She is funny, has a generous spirit, and is loved by many. Drea has a 15 year old son (Keni), and a loving and supportive husband (Tavarus) who has been by her side this entire time. I can't imagine what he is going through having to work everyday and come be with his wife throughout the day. He stays at the hospital every night and has lost many hours of sleep and work hours. I also can't imagine what my nephew is going through and our mother. As you could imagine he has gotten behind on bills and of course Drea Medical bills will be rolling in soon. We are asking for donations to support her son and husband. Anything will help and is much needed and greatly appreciated.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
