Andrea Nicole

Hi my name is Andrea I’m a 4 months old baby that has been diagnosed with 22Q11.2D or DiGeorge Syndrome. Because of the syndrome I was born with a narrow airway, heart murmurs and a compromised inmune system. Since I was born I stayed in the NICU where they took great care of me for 102 days. During those 102 days I when thru several treatments to see if I could breathe on my own. I was intubated during all the time that I was there. I had to had a surgery done to split my airway so it could be larger, but that did not work. Towards the end of my stay at the NICU and because none of the treatments or surgery worked and I still was not able to breathe on my own I had to have a tracheotomy done. Currently I have a tracheotomy to be able to breathe and also I have a tube in my belly called GTube to allow me to feed, since I haven’t been able to bottle feed.

I’m the youngest of two more siblings and actually I’m a twin with a boy call Gabriel. I also have a one year old sister call Emma. Because of my medical situation and my other two siblings my mom decided to stay home to take care of us. My mom had to resign from her work cutting our income in half. Currently my dad is our only financial support. My parents had to take the decision to live with relatives so we could have a home.

We have a ton of medical bills and expenses and have a long way to go taking therapies and monitoring the improvement on my breathing. We are grateful of all family and friends that have stayed in contact with us and prayed for my prompt recovery.

My family and me are just asking for anything that you may be able to donate to us in this time of need.  

We are very happy that finally I made it home and I’m with my family.
