Andrea's WHEELCHAIR and Ramp

UPDATE: We decided to move Andrea to the first level of our ranch home so no more steps! The outings with the rollator are no longer practical because her capacity to stand and walk is too limited now. We decided to use the funds donated so far toward a foldable electric wheelchair and ramp to move the wheelchair in and out of the car. We are halfway to our goal! (As long as you do not mind we changed the product we are collecting for; if you do, please DM me, and I will refund your donation). ORIGINAL POST: Hi, my name is Juanita, and I want to tell you about our dear family friend, Andrea Bush. Maggie and I met Andrea in the community theater world 18 years ago. She was the type of person who would buy pizzas and drive around Baltimore handing out slices to homeless persons on the street. She's been like a big sister to my daughter, Maggie. Andrea was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian cancer a few years ago, which has taken its toll on her body but never her spirit. Unable to live on her own, Andrea moved in with us last year and became an important part of the Walker Family. Once a vibrant community theatre actor with a caring heart for others, Andrea is now disabled from her cancer progressing to end-stage at the age of 46. When she moved in a year ago, Andrea used a rollator and cane to get around, but now, walking up stairs just once is like running a marathon for her. A stair chair lift will greatly enhance her quality of life.
