Art Scholarships for Kids
Donation protected
My name is Andres Ruh, and I am the president of The Embracing Art volunteer team (EAVT). The EAVT is a nonprofit organization with the mission of achieving social change through social responsibility.
As president of EAVT, I am committed to raising funds for our Guillermo Barreto Scholarship program, which targets families in the CT area. For that purpose, on April 28th, 2019 I will be swimming laps at the YMCA of Greenwich pool to raise funds for scholarships for children who dream of expressing their creativity through art.
My goal is to raise $5000, which will allow us to pay for a full year art scholarships for at least 10 boys and girls of our community. I would like to ask for your help to make these children’s dreams come true and make art instruction accessible to them to further improve their lives and development.
I will attempt to swim as many laps as possible, up to 150 laps (around 2 miles) and a maximum of 1 hour. I’m inviting you to make a pledge per completed lap, or a one-time flat donation to support my fundraising efforts. You can make your donation before, during or after the event as well!
Any small amount can make a big difference. Thank you so much for your donation!
Make every one of my laps count that day by joining us on Sunday April 28th, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Greenwich YMCA, 50 E Putnam ave, Greenwich, CT 06830
