Andres: Big-hearted son, hermano & boyfriend

Donation protected
Andres Loera (known by “Pino” to most) was a 19 year old angel who received his wings early morning on Thursday 2/13/2020. His innocent soul was a victim of senseless gun violence in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

There aren’t enough words to describe his soul: hilarious, big-hearted, loving, protective, determined, and most of all an unforgettable young man. The son of two hard-working immigrant parents, a protective brother to 6 siblings, a boyfriend of 3 years, a loyal friend, and a peacekeeper to anyone he encountered.

Our parents are entrepreneurial immigrants and work on their own businesses exhaustingly to pay the bills and fill the needs for our big family. Unfortunately, an unexpected loss means that they cannot work and therefore can’t pay bills. Our family has never experienced an unexpected loss like this and we never imagined the many impacts.

Your help will go towards all additional support for the family's basic needs like rent, bills, food and water as well as for professional support through this traumatic loss. Our family needs time to make sense of this, to find peace and begin healing without worrying about missing work. We want to provide our parents with the ability to grieve peacefully over their loss of a beloved son.

About our beloved son, brother, boyfriend and friend:

Pino lived his life the way he wanted to and it was admirable. His workplaces would accommodate his schedule because of his hard work ethic and beautiful soul. Above all else, he was a brother to everyone, and his workplace was no different, so who would ever fire a brother?

He always cheered up a room with his contagious smile and laughter. Never taking anything too serious, and taking all hardships in stride. He had the strongest, uppermost loving devotion to our family and his friends to the point that his love and tenderness is running through all of our veins and keeping us alive. The ultimate sacrifice so that we could all have life.

We know Pino rests in peace, and we hope to further deepen our peace with the sudden loss and strengthen our bond with him so that it will continue to travel beyond his death.

Thank you:

Thank you to all who share. Each contribution will go a long way, and every thought and prayer is appreciated as we love to feel your innocent, positive energy. No beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart, and we appreciate you all for sharing your good-hearted energy with us.

To the hundreds of people who are reaching out with your warm embrace to our big family: thank you. To all who loved and cared for him, all those he left positive memories with: think of him as resting from the sorrow and the tears. In a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days or years. We will see him again, for love is never lost and he will live in our within.
