Andrew James Boyd passed away in his home.
Andrew was a beautiful, kind, gentle, and loving soul.
He loved his family and had a number of friends. Those who were truly his friends know who they are and we hope they tell his story here and in years to come.
Andrew worked hard to hide that he struggled with depression and addiction. He had a sense of self that did not allow him to admit defeat.
Andrew was very proud of his daughter. She was the light of his life even after his addiction got in the way; but it didn’t stop him from loving her and speaking of her often.
He was preceded in death by his mother Karen Therese (Celashi) Boyd and his father Gregory Wayne Boyd.
He is remembered by his sister Christine Boyd, his brothers Michael (Maria) Boyd and Corey Boyd, his cousins Matt Celashi, Christopher / Scooter (Cindy) Celashi, Jennie Celashi, Niki Marcum (Kyle), Ashleigh (Joseph) Greathouse, and Ryan (Cassandra) Weisel, his uncle Chris Celashi, and his cousins Mike Smith and Heidi Weisel.
There are many other family and friends who will remember Andrew for the sweet boy he was. He never lost his child-like innocence.
Special friends, Sebastian and Jamie, made the past year of Andrews life easier and more solid for Andrew with his connection to them through California Palms Addiction Recovery Campus in Austintown, where he was able to feel safe, experienced unconditional love from Luci Lou, and became famous for his strawberry cake.
Andrew found joy in drawing, fishing with Matt, watching parades and fireworks with Christine, of 4 wheeling with his cousins, country drives in Heidi's Miata, spending quiet time by the Cuyahoga River, and jet skiing with Mike and Maria.
Andrew will be cremated and his ashes placed with those of both his parents in July 2021. Further information will be shared with close friends and family at a later date.
In order to assist the family with these final expenses, a Go Fund Me account has been established. The goal is $2,000 for burial and any overage will be donated to support mental health and addiction recovery. Please donate if you can. Any amount will help. Any extra will help others who fight the same or similar battles
