Dr. Andrew Bretz died tragically and unexpectedly in Kingston, Ontario on August 21, 2018. He was 42. Andrew was a loving son, brother, partner, and friend to so many of us, and the magnitude of his loss cannot be overestimated.
To honour the life, leadership, and legacy of Andrew, we are raising money to establish an English scholarship in his memory, at a soon to be determined University. All of the money raised here will be transferred to a fund to be called the Andrew Bretz Memorial Scholarship.
Andrew's family and loved ones greatly appreciate your support through this unthinkably tragic time. We hope that this scholarship can ensure that his enthusiasm as a teacher, and tireless work in the Shakespearean academic community will never be forgotten.
