Andrew C Gambardella Scout Fishing Academy. BSA

We are starting fundraising for a project in memorial of Andrew Camara Gambardella.

The Boy Scout Camp that Andrew loved, Camp Sequassen, has a beach area that has deteriorated and needed to be repaired for over 30 years. This place is very special to us. Since i am an Eagle Scout, i have taken Andrew there to fish and swim since he was 3 years old. He attended summer camp there with the Boy Scouts many years, as did i before him. He always loved his time there. Just one year ago he came all the way from New Mexico to visit this Boy Scout Camp that he loved. The Camp is 94 years old and loved by many. To have a part of the camp named after you is a great honor shared by very few. This will ensure Andrew’s name and memory will live on. The project will be costly. Needing plans from an engineer to present to the town. We’ll need construction machinery and literally tons of materials to dismantle and rebuild the 115 foot retaining wall. It will also have a fishing dock for the scouts and snorkeling area. The area will also be used as “Andrews Fishing Academy” to teach new scouts to fish, and to earn the  fishing merit badge. The preliminary estimated goal is $45,000. to complete this project.
