Andrew Kryvonis Memorial
Donation protected
This fund was established to celebrate and remember the life of Andrew Kryvonis. He is survived by his wife, Andrianna, and daughter, Martha.
In February of 2020, Andrew began experiencing difficulty swallowing and unrelenting acid reflux. He was told that the doctor was prioritizing "more severe" cases and Andrew would have to wait weeks to be seen. His symptoms worsened and in April, he called and demanded to see a doctor. On April 23rd, he underwent a gastroscopy that revealed a tumour. Andrew was diagnosed with Stage IV small cell esophageal cancer which has an incidence rate of 2%.
Andrew began treatment immediately, undergoing countless chemotherapy sessions and radiation treatments. The prognosis was poor but he was determined to try anything to extend his life by however long he could. For 5 exhausting months, Andrew underwent treatments, and endured symptoms and side effects with immense positivity, bravery, and hope.
Unfortunately, none of the treatments worked and Andrew lost his battle with cancer on September 24th at the young age of 54 .
The raised funds will be used by his wife and daughter to alleviate immediate and long-term financial burden. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated.
We understand that some may be unable to donate but if you would still like to support us, please share the link to this fund.
