Andrew Gamble's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On 24th December 2019, our Uncle Andrew Gamble who is only 37, suffered a massive heart attack in his Mum Bridie’s House in the Glebe, County Tyrone.
Granny Bridie was sleeping but we are very grateful that his fiance Caitriona and best friend Patricia were both with him. They were able to get him an ambulance, and according to the doctors, if they hadn’t been there, he wouldn't be alive right now.
Andrew suffered several heart attacks on the way to the hospital and the defibrillator was used on him over 30 times. He was flown to Newcastle, England on St.Stephen’s Day and this past few weeks Andrew has been heavily sedated, but only recently he has been able to respond slightly and is aware that his family & friends are still with him. This has been a really hard time for everyone, there has been a few positive responses, but it will be a very slow recovery.
After several attempts to repair his heart from damage and trauma from the attack in December, he has only one option left, which is a heart operation. He undergoes the procedure as soon as possible and we all pray that it will be a success. We have been told that Andrew will remain in hospital for the next 3 months as part of his recovery in Newcastle, England.
This past few weeks we have been flying family members to be by his side 24/7. This includes booking flights, boats, accommodation and each family member giving up their time off work to be with him. He will be in the hospital for at least 3 more months and we are so overwhelmed by your messages & prayers. For this we thank you!
This ‘Go Fund Me’ page is in response to those who have requested to make donations for Andrew, on his road to recovery.
Thank you again for your continued prayers and support, it means more than you will ever know x
