Andrew & Kaitlin’s House fire fundraiser

We are Andrew and Kaitlin of 100 Mile Tattoo, we lost our house and our dog Xena due to an electrical fire last night. We are so lucky to have gotten all of the humans out safely.

We are hoping to get back on our feet and back to work as soon as possible. Unfortunately we lost a few key pieces of our tattoo equipment that we normally bring to work in at home. That is what all this is for, so we can get back to work.

We have been asked if we had a gofund me up or need help. And well if you know me, you know that I normally never ask for help. I hate it, but we need it.

I have no idea where to start or how to get back on our feet without asking for help now. The least I could ever ask for is to get back to work. This would cover 1 setup for us to get started and back on our feet.

Anyways, this is the gist of whats happened:

An electrical fire burned the house down. It started outside on the patio, didn't have time to grab anything. Soren my 11yr old boy closed his laptop and noticed the fire outside “um dad is that a fire outside?” I opened the door to a huge roaring flame slammed it and yelled for kaitlin, she got the kids and 1 of the dogs outside. I had to go back in to get my other dog she was hiding in the closet terrified, I carried her almost all the way out, I fell, smoke was pitch black and to the floor. I almost passed out. The sensory overload was so huge I felt like everything was on mute on the tv. Xena was freaking out I couldn’t hold her, she ran back into the smoke deeper into the house somewhere. I had to get out before I blacked out. I couldnt see the back door but I could feel that I was going to pass out. Debris was falling, I had my arms stretched out trying to find the patio door everything was hot on fire or melted. Finally found it. Electricity was arcing all on the front porch, people were saying. I didnt see it. Was still hoping my dog got out and I could find her but there could be no way. My boys Soren and Loken are okay, lily is good and Kaitlin is safe as well.

We got an update this morning from the fire dept saying they found Xenas body. We went to pick her up and are planning on her burial today.
