Andrew Overton fundraiser bike ride 100 miles

Andrew Overton 36, was diagnosed with sepsis on Friday 24th March. He was admitted to the critical care unit in The Royal Liverpool hospital with what started as a vomiting bug. No fluids or medication seemed to help improve his condition, Instead he went downhill and was treated for sepsis. We are still unsure of what infection has caused the sepsis. On Saturday morning he was put into an induced coma for 24 hours which turned out to be full life support for 15 days as his body went into septic shock and started to shut down all his organs. He was put on to kidney dialysis which was a risk as his kidneys and all other organs had failed and his body depended on this working within 15 mins for a chance of survival. Family and friends stayed in the ICU family room for 4 days as they had been prepared for the worst. Not even the doctors and nurses could believe he had pulled through. Andy is now awake and stable and been told so many times he is a miracle as it was one of the worst cases they had worked with. Unfortunately he has had to have both legs amputated below the knee and is also lost use of his hands.
The money raised would help buy him some bebonic hands (electronically controlled hands). Which will assist him with his new way of living.
Andrew is a loving husband and proud father to his 3 kids.

To raise money I plan of cycling to blackpool and back in one day from Liverpool , 50 miles there 50 miles back. I think if your asking people to donate you have to do something that will test you and this certainly will test me. Any donations will be very much appreciated THANK YOU
Here you can see my planned route for ride updates will be avaliable on here and my instagram (simo0151). I plan to complete the ride hopefully first week in August 2023
