Shay... May you laugh and smile forever. Rest in Peace.

Dear Friends and Family,

I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of Andrew Shay Wyatt, 55, of Plantersville, Texas. Sadly he left this earth on October 19, 2023. He was a beloved husband and father who passed away tragically of a hemorrhagic stroke. He leaves behind 3 children (Chase 14, Jaxon 11, Harper 10) and wife Amy. He also is survived by his 3 children (Cody (Brittney), Garrett, Morgan), siblings (Heath, Bret, Kate), grandson (Cash), and parents (Glenna and Peter). For his beautifully written obituary, click HERE .

We all new him as SHAY. A man who loved the outdoors, photography and animals. He was a pillar in his local community working alongside ministries that focused on homeless outreach and rehabilitation. As a service dog enthusiast & trainer of Labrador Retrievers, his ministry was devoted to helping special needs men, women and children in need. Not a day goes by that he is not missed by all who loved him.

We are absolutely devastated by Shay's passing. At this time, his wife Amy is need of financial support for his funeral/burial and medical expenses (Quadruple bypass open heart surgery Aug 29, 2023 & Emergency surgery October 15, 2023 in attempts to save Shays life after he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke). Amy is not one to ask for help, but as her friend I know she needs us all. For the sake of transparency, here is a breakdown of the costs involved for just the funeral:
Death certificate $20
Flowers/ Florist $350
National Cemetery Service $975
Total Funeral home charges $3995
Grand total: $5340

His medical expenses are still rolling in... As you can imagine it is a difficult time for everyone to have unexpected bills arise. The funeral costs will need to be paid ASAP. I’ve started a fundraiser to collect donations. Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.

Anything to help his family would be greatly appreciated.

May we remember his unforgettable laugh and smile.

Love,
Amy & Shay's friend Jo.
