Sherry and I would like to commemorate the first year of Andrew’s passing by setting up a Memorial Fund at University of Houston Clear Lake (UHCL) for promising University of Computing Telecommunications (UCT) students and workers.
As a result of covid-19, the progress of creating Andrew’s Memorial Fund has been delayed.
After much thought and consideration, we have decided that creating a Memorial Fund through UCT is something Andrew would want and will provide a legacy in his honor.
Andrew’s Memorial Fund will assist other students who are unable to take part in technology enriched training, in order to increase their knowledge and work experience. This will help to expand their abilities and opportunities to further their career working in the field of technology.
Our hope is to raise at least $5,000, as this will spread throughout a 5 year span to a minimum of 2 students/workers each school year.
We will be working with Texas Citizens Bank to accumulate your donations that will contribute to Andrew’s Memorial Fund.
We would appreciate if everyone can have their donations submitted by the end of January.
