Andrew "Pony Boy" Bush

Hello my name is Patrick Andrew Thies, and Andrew (Pony Boy) Bush was my best friend.

Last week I received the call that our beloved Pony Boy had slipped into the blue and green. He was a special soul, and everyone has their own special story to tell about how he touched you specifically. He knew how to love people, and he was so good at being present in the moment with whatever you had going on.

So, how I would like us to honor his legacy is by sharing our best (best meaning honor his life and family) Pony stories with pictures if possible, attached to your financial contributions, or messaged to me. Then Mallory and I are going to make a book of memories for his son, and give it to him with whatever money we can raise in a trust.

This sadness is a double edged sword. The flood of memories that constantly remind me of what is no more, also remind me of the beauty that once was. I know the tears come so often and without warning, because the laughter was the kind that would heal your soul. The emptiness in my heart signifies the fullness of joy he brought to my life. The pain is so real, so crippling, so hard, because his love was so genuine, so infectious, so complete. Even though one side of this sword sadness and pain, the other side is beauty and joy.

Andrew (Pony) hated social media, and would never be okay with his son being on here. The picture is of Andrew (Pony) and my daughter Reca, he loved my family like they were his, and they loved him.
