Andrew's Shark Research in South Africa!

Hi everyone! My name is Brenna and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my boyfriend Andrew Newsome!

Anyone who knows Andrew will know the UTTER obsession he has with sharks. He has been captivated by them ever since he was just a little kid and is just as obsessed with them today. He has just recently been accepted for a once in a lifetime research opportunity taking place in South Africa studying Great White Sharks! He is super excited to be staying in Cape Town, SA for several weeks in the beginning of February tracking Great White Shark movements and feeding habits. While this is an incredible and once in a lifetime opportunity, there are some costs that make this a little tricky.

For the past three and a half years, Andrew has been a full time student at Baldwin Wallace University studying Biology and Chemistry. Being that as it is, there hasn't been much time for him to accumulate money outside of what is needed to care for himself. Right now we have an apartment together and he is still spending his time as a full time student and caring for himself. Once he graduates on December 9th, he'll be able to start working consistently, but that does not leave much time to save money. Any money that is donated will all go towards covering the costs of plane tickets, passport, VISA, program fees, and towards loss of his income he would otherwise make if he did not partake in this research.
