Andrew's FTM Surgery Fund

Hi there. My name is Andrew, born Angela. Ever since I can remember, I have been uncomfortable in the female body that I was born with. As a small child I was convinced that I'd grow up to be a boy, and when I learned that wasn't the case, I was devastated. When puberty hit, things got much worse for me. It has led to depression and body dysphoria that revolves mainly around my chest and has affected most aspects of my life.  I have been binding for a few years now, and it is a painful and just downright uncomfortable process, but necessary for me to feel comfortable.

I'm finally in a good and safe space to fully transition and become the best and happiest me that I can be. I've done a lot of research regarding top surgery, and the best fit for me seems to be Dr. Garramone in Florida. My insurance may cover a very small portion of this surgery, but most likely not. My options through my insurance are not providers that specialize in this type of surgery, and therefore the results are unpredictable...which is terrifying.

I'm pretty bad with asking for help (especially monetarily). However, with the current political climate, I'm terrified to wait too long to get this done, who knows what crappy laws could get passed in the next few years. I don't want anyone to feel pressured, but if you're doing well and want to help a fellow human out, I'd appreciate it more than I could ever express.
