Andrew's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On May 9th, our dear friend Andrew Schultz suffered a devastating stroke. He has made amazing progress, and is now physically fit. However, he continues to struggle with cognitive skills, in particular reading and writing. He is not able to work, and his insurance will not cover alternative treatments. Much research has been done on the benefits of both Acupuncture and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
To all of Andrew’s dear friends, please help by contributing whatever amount you are able, so that he can continue to improve. The goal is to have Acupuncture 2X/week and Oxygen therapy daily for 8 weeks (reccomended treatment for stroke). Doctors have stated that recovery could be as long as 1 year, it is hoped that with these treatments that it can be significantly shortened. (Accupuncture: $90/ session, Oxygen therapy: $100/session). The target is $8,680 to help offset those costs.
Everyone loves the creative, funny, talkative, irreverent and generous Andrew. Please help to speed up his recovery.
This fund was set up by Andrew's Oak Park, IL friends and former neighbors, Theresa Sauvageau and Frances Figg.
We will appreciate any amount that you can donate, as will Andrew and his family.
