The Jete Dance Arts and Athletics company dancers, friends and family have created this go fund me page to help assist our beloved dance teacher Patty Grove and her husband Andy Grove while he battles a plasmacytoma brain tumor and multiple myeloma ; this a very rare form of brain cancer.
Andy Grove is a farmer in South Madison County, Arkansas. Andy has dedicated his life in serving the Lord in Full Time Ministry with Campus Crusades for Christ and ISI International Student Ministries since 1980 at the age of 21 . Andy has remained very active in his church and his community his entire life; his wife Patty Grove owns Jete Dance Arts and Athletics in Hindsville Arkansas with Andy by her side every step of the way Patty has a thriving program of young athletes and has for many years.
Andy is a proud father of five and his grandchildren is the light of his life. Andy was recently diagnosed with a rare form of Brain Cancer and will soon require a Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant . Andy has went through Emergency Brain surgery with the Skull Base Surgery Program in Boston Massachusetts with a neurosurgeon Team led by world-renowned neurosurgeon Ossama Al-Mefty, MD.
Dr. Al-Mefty is a pioneer in developing techniques for treating rare and complex skull base tumors which is exactly what Andy is up against. Merely, three weeks after a very invasive brain surgery Andy and Patty had to shift in their fight to beat this rare cancer. A very brief stay at there beloved family farm , and of course Andy in true character making sure the chainsaws were sharpened and all his farm equipment was running properly headed out to MD Anderson Cancer Treatment Facility in Houston Texas to start phase two of treatment.
Oncologist Dr Gaballa at MD Anderson is leading a team to help Andy in his fight and 6 month treatment plan. Lead by Dr. Gaballa at MD Anderson Cancer Treatment Facility Andy is in the VERY BEST Place for the Treatment of his plasmacytoma brain turmor and multiple myeloma Cancer. Dr. Gaballa said “he is feeling very confident that he and the team has customized the very best treatment plan for Andy.”
The step of faith Patty and Andy took to go to MD Anderson has been a huge step and undertaking for their entire family and has came with many challenges and great financial strain. With 6 months of treatment ahead of them and then a bone marrow and stem cell transplant in their future our Dance team , family and friends are committed in standing with Andy during this extraordinarily difficult time. Andy will remain in Houston while undergoing his treatment, his wife Patty will be making multiple trips back to Arkansas to coach her dance team and see them through there 2023 dance season , and attend to there Family Farm. The onset, discovery, surgeries treatment , and future treatments has hit the Groves and their family at lightyear speed.
Our Dance Company Loves Patty and Andy and we are asking for the community, friends and family to donate what they can to ease the financial strain . ANYTHING HELPS!!! Help Stand with Andy in his fight to beat Brain Cancer !!!
