Hi I’m the younger sister of Andy Hamm ( 2 years younger exactly to the day , we shared a Birthday!)
We tragically, suddenly and unexpectedly lost my brother on Sunday July 2nd, to a suspected fatal heart attack while he was at his friends house with his 5 year old son. His friend and the paramedics attempted to resuscitate him for over 30 minutes but unfortunately he was already gone.
My brother was only 46 year old and leaves behind , his 5 year old son , Harrison, my Mom and I.
My Brother was living with my Mom and helping with expenses. My mom is retired and on a very slim and fixed income. We also lost my father 2 years ago to Cancer and suffered a loss my ex husband of 10 years who was still very close to me and like a son to my Mom, He died suddenly in his own bed in October.
My Mom has also recently lost her 2 beloved Beagles , Sammee and Susie Q. She has experienced a lot of loss in the past 2 years and this one is just devastating to her. If you know anything about my Mom, she loved her son with all her heart and would do anything for him. She will need some help with the expenses for the burial/ or cremation. She will also need to sell her home and move to Texas to be with me now , and could use help with expenses to prepare for that and for the move. She is currently without a vehicle ( we aren’t sure what will happen to my brothers car or if she will be able to afford it) so a small down payment on something affordable and reliable would also be helpful.
She also adopted a sweet 12 year old senior Chihuahua named Hazel who has brought so much joy and love into her life, but being a senior , her medical care has been neglected by her former owners. The shelter where she adopted her was able to spay her and do her do her hernia repair for my mom for free but will not do the work she needs done on her teeth. That work was quoted at over 1K so that would also be a hardship on my mom at this time. I do think if we can get her teeth fixed she may give my mom several more years of happiness and that would be a huge blessing to her at this time.
Honestly the outpouring of love has been so amazing from all of his friends and that is enough for us. But if you can spare anything at all it would be greatly appreciated. But Mostly we are asking you to just keep our family in Prayer as we move through this difficult situation together.
I have my Mom here with me at my house now and will be keeping her throughout the month. We are grateful that we have each other for comfort in this time.
Thank you all and we will
keep you updated on the memorial and arrangements.
