Andy & Lacy's House Fire Fund
Donation protected
During the afternoon of November 3rd, Lacy and Andy were working from home when they heard the fire alarm go off. Lacy walked out of their unit to discover black smoke billowing from a neighbor's door. With no time to gather belongings, Andy called 911 and got Mavis (their pup) out of the house while Lacy knocked on every other door in the building to ensure everyone got out safely. They watched as flames licked the side of the building and firefighters doused their apartment. Once they could go inside and assess the damage, nearly all of their belongings had been destroyed and their unit was unliveable.
In true Lacy & Andy fashion, they have been remarkably positive. Focusing on how lucky they were to be home and get Mavis out and joking that they didn't really like their clothes anyway. As cheery as these two look in the picture, they've lost almost everything and could use some help. While we can't replace the memories they've built together, hopefully we can help them get some new furniture, linens, and in-style clothing.
Lacy and Andy have also just signed a new lease for an apartment right down the street. Donations will help them pay rent and a new security deposit.
