Andy Overton (Ovey)

Donation protected
On Friday 24th March, Andy ‘Ovey’ Overton was admitted to The Royal Liverpool Hospital suffering from what he thought was a really bad vomiting bug.

However, Ovey’s condition quickly deteriorated and he was moved to critical care where doctors put him into an induced coma and began treatment for Sepsis.

By Saturday morning, Ovey’s body had gone into septic shock and all his organs began to shut down. Ovey spent 15 days fighting for his life on full life support, with doctors giving family and friends the devastating news that they should prepare themselves for the worst.

There’s still a long way to go, but Ovey is now awake and stable, and doctors are astonished by how well he is recovering and is making massive improvements day by day. However Ovey was given the heartbreaking news that he had sustained life changing injuries, resulting in the loss of both his legs.

For those of you that know Ovey, will know he’s the life and soul of the party. Friend to many, a son, a brother, loving husband and most importantly the best dad in the world to Frankie, Indie, Teddy and Paisley.

We want to help Ovey back up and walking again, by raising money to help fund prosthetic legs.
