Andy Sanchez school bus driver accident donations.

Andy Sanchez, our beloved friend and school bus driver was in a horrific head on collision when a tree service truck struck his bus head on as he was doing what he loved to do, transporting eight of his precious elementary students to school.  As a result of the accident, Andy is in critical condition with life threatening injuries. He has been put in an induced coma, intubated and had to be medically immobilized from the neck down until the doctors can treat him and make an assessment of his injuries and bring our beloved driver to a full recovery. The money from this fundraiser will go directly to Andy as soon as he can he can be back home from the hospital. We ask for you to please help Andy get back on his feet and help him financially for his medical needs, medical care and any other needs he will have during and through what will be a long recovery ahead. Andy is a fighter and he will get through this with the love and support of his community and caring people like you all.

My name is Miriam Stanise, Andy is a dear friend and coworker. He is a beloved school bus driver here in Washingtonville New York, where we both work. He has touched so many lives. He loves what he does, but most of all he loves his students so dearly.  So much so, that even while he was in so much pain and waiting for help to arrive he comforted his students singing and reassuring them that everything was going to be alright. For those of you who know and love Andy and for those who do not know him personally, Andy has a vibrant zest for life, a kind and gentle heart, he loves the outdoors, he loves fishing, he is funny and outgoing and always cheerful.
