Andy Toms Hospitalization Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Cara and Andy Toms is a dear friend of mine. For the last two weeks, Andy has been in critical condition in the ICU at the Aurora hospital in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. Upon admission, his blood pressure was exceptionally high and his oxygen levels were considered critical. Consequently, Andy is on a ventilator and a feeding tube. He has fluid buildup in his lungs and both of his lower lobes have collapsed due to fluid buildup and pressure. Andy's medical team is diligently working to remove the fluid, but it is an exceptionally slow process. Until his condition improves, he will remain on full breathing support. The road to recovery will be a very long and arduous process.

As the days increase that Andy remains hospitalized, so too have his medical expenses. Prior to his ICU admission, Andy's family had been advised that he had already exceeded $6,000.00 in out-of-pocket costs when he was initially in the ER. Our Go Fund Me goal of $25,000 might merely be a drop in the bucket given the unknown of the road ahead.
