Andy Tubbs for Mayor - Canton, GA

Hi, my name is Andy Tubbs and I’m running for mayor of Canton, GA.

Canton is a beautiful small town in northwest Georgia and it is the county seat in Cherokee County.

I am running for mayor with three main goals in mind:

1. Develop a plan for strategic growth. Our city is growing exponentially, and we’ll beyond our current infrastructure. I want to put in place a plan that grows the infrastructure to accommodate our growth. Canton is expected to grow from 33-35K residents to 55-60K in the next 5 years. This will help maintain/improve the current quality of life in Canton as it is the most prominent reason people move here.

2. Provide a more conservative direction than our Mayor and City Council. Our current mayor‘s voting record shows that he votes for the liberal, socialist values that are prominent in America today.

3. Look into programs that help our veterans, elderly people, and first responders within Canton. There are many groups that need assistance in our area. Those three groups seem to be left out of the mix quite often.

These are a few of the items that need to be addressed within our city. I will listen to all of the Canton residents , not just the ones that agree with me, but the ones that don’t as well. By listening to ALL, a solution can be developed that benefits the entire community. I will genuinely listen to what our community has to say without being flippant with my responses nor calling anyone any names.
