G'day I'm Andy and I am raising money for the Veteran Surf Project.

I served in the Royal Australian Navy and after a series of traumas suffered PTSD which went undiagnosed for many decades and resulted in chronic alchohol addiction.

About 18 months ago I was lucky enough to commence treatment for the PTSD and resulting alcoholism, which has completely changed my life.

A big part of my recovery has been getting involved with the Veterans Surf Project and I am doing a solo motorbike Around Australia Adventure to raise money for the programme.

PTSD is a serious mental health condition that can have life-changing effects on its sufferers.

The Veteran Surf Project is a not-for-profit organisation that offers support to Australian veterans suffering from PTSD.

The Veteran Surf Project aims to help veterans with PTSD through surf therapy and other activities.

We also work with communities to raise awareness of the condition and provide support for those affected by it

VSP has been highlighted on ABC's 7.30 Report, Channel 10's The Project and several other media outlets. Check out the Sky News report below which was broadcast shortly after our first session around two years ago.
