Help Andy fight cancer!
Donation protected
Andy and his family need your support and donations in his battle with testicular cancer.
As of January 18, 2021, Andy is in such terrible pain that he is unable to work. He is starting 12 weeks of chemotherapy immediately to eradicate the cancer from his body. This will no doubt place a toll on Andy's body and family.
It took awhile for me to convince Andy to let me start a gofundme ("it is so awkward," in his own words, which I understand), but the family is going through a lot. There will be medical bills, babysitting expenses, travel to out-of-state hospitals and clinics, etc. We think it would be great to alleviate that financial burden.
Andy is an amazing Dad to sweet Lucy and her brother Teddy. He is one of the friendliest and most positive people you will ever meet. Last year, he supported his lovely wife, Cortney, through her own battle with Thyroid cancer, and now Andy and his family need your support in his battle with testicular cancer.
In his own words (Jan 2021):

Many friends have been asking me lately, so I thought I would share an update...
In October 2020 I started experiencing severe abdominal pain and discovered I had a lump on my testicle.
In November I had surgery to remove my left testicle and biopsy that confirmed I had testicular cancer.
A few weeks later I got a brain MRI and PET scan and found out the cancer had spread up into my neck and around my stomach, which enlarged my lymph nodes and was the reason I was experiencing so much stomach pain.
In December the pain got so bad that I cancelled all my interviews and meetings and stopped working for the rest of the year. Cortney and I traveled up to Massachusettses to visit some amazing people who used innovative microbiotic science technology to heal our gut biomes and improve our health.
I’m working with my oncologist to monitor the situation and see where it goes.
And of course, I am determined to heal my body and live a long healthy life.
I’m so grateful to have my wife, Cortney, by my side to support me through all of this. She is a wealth of knowledge and connections that have been extremely valuable and I don’t know if I could do this without her.
And I appreciate everyone who has reached out and for all of your support. I am lucky to have so many great friends.
I will continue to share my journey to keep you updated and help others who may go through similar things.
Oh and I’ve decided to grow this gray beard out until the cancer is gone. It’s my cancer protest beard.
Thanks for your support!

In MY own words (a friend of Andy's):
Andy has been a terrific friend to me and hundreds, even thousands, of others. He is one of the most generous, supportive, and just dang FUNNY people I know.
And you don't know a more positive person until you've met Andy. The way he is approaching this battle with cancer is utterly inspiring and brave.
Andy is the type of guy that when he has surgery for testicular cancer, he makes jokes about it. For example, Nov 19, 2020: "Guess who has two thumbs and only one nut. This guy!" (FYI he welcomes all inappropriate jokes.)
I realize not everyone reading this knows Andy personally, but if you want to help a deserving, GOOD family, this is the one.
