A New Therapy Dog
Donation protected
My name is Cindy Austin, I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and a Therapy Dog Handler and I serve children and adolescents who are in pyschiatric crisis at an acute psychiatric hospital in Virginia.
I bought a Bernese Mountain Dog for my birthday, 9 years ago, and for 9 years Rondack has made my life rich with love, friends, and adventures.
He became a therapy dog where I am employed and has touched the lives of countless children and adolescents who are crisis. He has soothed and comforted these young people with love, patience, and loyalty. He has also provided stress relief for the employees. The interventions that Rondack managed to provide were extraordinary and beyond what traditional therapy could provide. A remarkable therapy dog and my true best friend.
Rondack passed away unexpectantly Monday morning October 3, 2016. His death was exceptionally peaceful, but has left myself and countless others with a void.
I am requesting funding for the purchase of another extraodinary dog and the training fees necessary to return a therapy dog to the hosptial. The funds I am seeking will go towards not only the above mentioned purchases, but will be your contribution to the healing of hundreds of children and adolescents each year. Nothing heals like the unconditional love of an animal.

Your assistance in renewing the services of a therapy dog at the hospital is beyond words. I am gratful for your thoughtfulness and the healing that you will be providing is immeasurable. Thank you so much for kindness and support.
