Angel Ethan Carlos Medellin Fund

We are creating this go fund me page on behalf of Baby Ethan and his father Paul and mother Lourdes. Baby Ethan was born with a congenital heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot, which is a combination of four heart defects that affect the structure of the heart, causing oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and to the rest of the body. Baby Ethan had his first open heart surgery at four months old and a subsequent open heart surgery after that. He will have to have another open heart surgery again when is three to four years old. He spent all the holidays in the NICU last year. His birthday is coming up on October 29, which he will spend in the PICU with his family. We are praying and hoping that he this holiday season he will be able to spend at home with his family. He recently was admitted back to the PICU after a surgery he had and soon after developed pneumonia.

We all in essence take the health of our children for granted, and have never been faced with any of the battles or struggles that this family has endured and fights for every day. It personally is heart wrenching. I have gotten to know Paul not only has my boss but as a friend. He comes to work everyday with a smile on his face, he loves his job, and also genuinely cares about each and every employee that works for him. He takes the time to counsel and help each employee in different ways dependent on the person. When you talk about a genuinely amazing human being I would think of Paul, an amazing husband, a loving father, and a great friend. He comes to work everyday while is wife is with his son and then goes straight to the hospital to sleep in the PICU with his son.

Baby Ethan has a long road ahead of him but is strong and such an inspiration. We ask for your support and prayers for Baby Ethan during this time of great need. Any donation or prayer is greatly appreciated. All proceeds and donations with go directly to the Medellin Family for medical expenses and needs. I can't think of a more deserving family and little baby more deserving than the best that humanity has to offer them.

Sometimes, real life superheroes live in the hearts of small children fighting big battles. Baby Ethan is going to do incredible things with his life.
