Angel Luis Cruz

Growing up in Philadelphia is challenging for many families. My brother Angel and I both struggled in our ways. I regret that I was not able to be the supportive big brother that Angel needed. Instead of recognizing his struggles as a cry for help, I failed to fully understand the depth of his pain and the extent to which he needed earthly support. But God saw him and he knew him and cared for him and used him for his glory. The lives that Angel touched were countless, they saw his big heart and willingness to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His smile and laughter were contagious, he loved to share his musical talents with anyone that would listen. He loved to praise God with his voice and his instruments.

Angel's life was a testament to God's mercy and grace, I am a witness to this. Psalm 138:6 says: "Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud." I know for a fact that God was with Angel every step of his journey.

Angel served God by extending his word to communities that suffered as he did, sharing his heart with the world. I'm convinced my little brother is praising God right now, singing in his eternal Glory.

If you are able and feel inclined to help our family, Angel's children. We would be deeply grateful.
